Statement
Art
is one of the most intense and personal forms of
expressing oneself. Vivian Walker's pieces are
under-painted in acrylic, and then an oil wash is
used to enhance the composition, and to establish
depth and dimension. Most of her paintings are
done using a wet-on-wet technique. Vivian Walker
is a painter who embraces "SHEER
REALISM". She received her formal training
from the University of Louisville. majoring in
Business Administration and Art History. As a
certified art instructor, Walker has
opportunities to share her unique art techniques
with hundred of students who attend her workshops
and classes.
In
1996, the Smithsonian Institution in Washington,
chose Vivian's "Smokey Mountains" as
part of their "Artists of Tennessee"
collection.
"After
observing GOD's handiwork, the next step is to
paint it."
