About Us Tennessee State University¨s Brown-Daniel Library has been a selective depository for the United States Federal Government since 1972. The library is one of five depositories that serve the 5th Congressional District of Tennessee. The other four depositories are Fisk University, the Public Library in Nashville and Davidson County, Tennessee State Library and Archives, and Vanderbilt University. The regional depository is located at the University of Memphis, Tennessee. |

Our selection rate currently stands at 37% of what is published by the different governmental agencies through the Federal Depository Library Program. | ||
The primary mission of the library¨s department of government documents is to collect, organize, and provide free and quality access of the collection to students, staff, faculty and administration, and the public at large, in various formats (print, electronic, internet, etc.). | ||
