Lillie Mae Bond

Lillie Mae Bond was born August 1926 in a small community near Murfreesboro.  She received her former education of 12 years in Rutherford County schools.  Lillie was an active mother during her children’s' education .She was a Girl Scout leader for 12 years and a Den leader for Boys Scout 2 years. Volunteered for numerous jobs in the school her children attended. In 1979 she became interested in art again remembering the joy of painting on the school house windows with watercolor and boni. Lillie enrolled in classes at the Watkins Institute on Church Street Nashville Tennessee. Here she had the opportunity to enroll in a class taught by Anton Weiss located in Fairveiw Tennessee. She continued with both classes, Watkins and Antons' until 1984.
